To our dear Sunday school friends,
This year Jocelyn Martin and I are heading up Vacation Bible School.
We're excited to be serving the Lord in this way and need your help. We
realize that not all of you are meant to help during the VBS week and
though we would love that, we are realistic. What we really need from
you is your support.
We need you to be behind VBS, talking about it, inviting friends and
neighbors, and signing up to help in some way. But, most importantly,
we need you to pray. We cannot do this on our own. We need our friends
to stand with us.
I will not take this opportunity to tell you how important VBS is, how
it's the largest ministry our church undertakes each year and how
important it is for us to make disciples of our Covenant children. Rest
assured, that will come later. Right now, we're just asking for you to
start praying and start thinking.
Pray that the Lord of the Harvest will impact not only our children, but
also our whole church through this HUGE ministry. Pray that God will
change the hearts and lives of whole families.
Start thinking about how you can serve during the planning, preparation
or presentation of VBS. I know some of you are not meant to be
teachers, just as some of us are not meant to sing. But, there IS
something you can do. Pray and ask God what it is you are supposed to
do.
