Foundations News. May 5-11

Hello Foundations,

Attached is information for the church's "Parent's Night Out" benefitting the Mission trip to Honduras. It's tonight!

Missions/Social:

Save the date of Sunday, May 19. Our class will enjoy a time of breakfast and fellowship together just before our lesson to raise funds for upcoming Missions trips this summer, and to support those in our class that are going on these Mission trips. More details coming soon. If you have questions, please contact our class Missions Coordinators Leslie and Michael Brooks. (lesliedbrooks@yahoo.com; tmbjr@yahoo.com)

Prayer Requests:

-David Malone 's father had surgery on Monday.  We have learned that at this time, he is still in the ICU, but is stable and doing well.

-Covenant Members Bennett and Sarah Valentine, who lost their mother, Amy. Pray for those that are caring for these precious teenagers during this time.

-Pray for Deacon Fund

-Pray for Church Finances

-Safety for Trey and Collins while they are in China

Hospitality:

The funds collected for Foundations Cares at the beginning of the year have provided countless opportunities for our class to care for members that have had sick children, sick parents, surgeries, etc. At this time, we are running low, and an envelope will be passed around class this week for further collections. The last of the funds were used this past week to provide gift cards for dinners for the two church families that are currently taking care of Bennett and Sarah Valentine (see prayer request above). If you have any questions, please forward them to our class Hospitality Coordinators, Cassie and Burgett Tonsmeire. (cassietonsmeire@yahoo.com; btonsmeire@cahins.com)

Small groups:

There has been some discussion and interest on starting some small groups within our class. If you are interested, please contact Daniel or Cary. (cmurray1228@gmail.com, dmurray92475@gmail.com. )

TJ Wolters is out of town this weekend, so David O'Dell will be teaching our class this Sunday. Have a great weekend!
