Foundations News, April 29-May 4

Good afternoon!

We made two important announcements in class on Sunday and wanted to share in case you missed it:

1. We are thrilled to announce that Kelli and Josh Threadcraft have accepted the role of Servant Team Leaders for  the 2013-2014 school year.  They'll do a wonderful job of keeping up with the behind the scenes work and keep our class moving forward in a positive direction. They have a true love for this class and the Servant Team will be in great hands under their leadership.  Thanks in advance, Threadcrafts, for accepting this role. Please keep them in your prayers as they move forward with planning and organizing for next year.

2. Our church has decided to create an additional adult Sunday School class as a result of high numbers in our new members' classes this year. More info to follow in the next few months on these plans.

Missions:

Dear Foundations Class,

Covenant is partnering with Christian Service Mission in their Third Annual “I Remember Mom” project. We will deliver gift baskets to the senior women at Faush–Metropolitan Manor  and Bankhead Towers on Saturday, May 11. The gifts and baskets have already been donated, so we just need volunteers to fill the baskets and deliver them.

If you would like to help fill the baskets please meet at the Church Parlor on Saturday May 11 at 8:30 a.m.  If you would like to participate and it works best for you to meet at one of the nursing homes at 9:45 to get your basket that is great too!  I just need to know who is participating!  Please email me if you would like to join us on this day to minister to these ladies.

Thank you!

Phyllis
