Covenant Cares – Tornado Relief Assistance
Covenant continues to reach out and minister to those impacted by the tornadoes that ripped through our state on April 27. Donations to our Deacon Fund will assist with relief efforts (check payable to Covenant with a note your gift is designated for Tornado Relief). Ingram Link is helping the Christian Service Mission with cooking meals. She needs assistance to get these meals prepared. Following are dates and times Ingram needs volunteers: Tuesday, May 24, 5 – 8 p.m.; Thursday, May 26, 9 a.m. – 12 noon. COVENANT CARES t-shirts will be available this week for $10 each in a variety of sizes.
Covenant’s Mission House
The missions house that Covenant and other missionaries use when they are home for HMA is in need of a few household items: a queen size frame and headboard, a dresser with mirror, and some pots and pans. If you have any of these items or can assist in acquiring them please contact Peggy Frese at peggyfrese@gmail.com or by phone at 870-9515.
VBS 2011
Children 4K through rising 4th grade are invited to Vacation Bible School 2011, June 13-17, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. This year's theme is a big surprise - what will it be? You’ll just have to come and see! Register now at any Welcome Station in the Children’s Building. To volunteer or for more information contact Jocelyn Martin at 968-7366.
Maine Missions Trip
A summer missions team will travel to Portland, Maine the week of July 18, 2011, to assist Christ the Redeemer Presbyterian Church with a day camp for children. Donation of frequent flyer miles would be greatly appreciated. If you are willing to donate your airline miles, please contact Susan Doyle at 969-7444. Donations are requested by May 30 so airline tickets can be purchased.
Women’s Ministry Summer Bible Study
Evening study—God's Big Picture: Tracing the Storyline of the Bible will meet Tuesday evenings at 6:00 in E201, June 7-July 19. Morning Drop-In Study will meet July 12-August 16 on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 until 11:00 with Bible study teacher Kay Gresham. This summer's topic: Relationships.
