Thanks for some great feedback about our class Christmas social. After discussions with several people in the class, we have decided to do an adults-only dinner and do it in conjunction with the Fixed Point Foundation (www.fixed-point.org). We will actually have our meal at the Latimer House, home of Fixed Point in Mountain Brook Village, and will enjoy it with the foundation's staff. Larry Taunton will give us a brief update on his ministry while we enjoy fellowship with one another. The dinner will be Sunday, December 5 from 6:30-8:30pm. Childcare will be provided at the church for a donation of $10 per family to defer costs. There will be plenty of time for those of you with kids in choir to see them sing in their program that afternoon and then get them settled in before the dinner.
The dinner will be pot-luck style and I will have a sign~up sheet in the near future. We are asking that each family consider making a small $10-15 donation to Fixed Point. They are letting us use their dining space for free and their kitchen as well. This is the least we can do!
