We will hear from The Warrens and Ellen Barrett. This is always a very special time for our class to hear from these wonderful missionaries in a smaller environment - not to mention indulging on some great desserts :)
Also, our class will be hosting the Church Missions Breakfast on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 7 - 9:30 a.m. Lex and Mary and the Brooks' are going to be there to help, and if anyone else wants to come help please let them know. (marymwilliamson@bellsouth.net). Another great opportunity to get to know the missionaries personally.
Also, Birmingham Hospitality Network: Covenant is hosting the BHN February 10-17. How appropriate it will be to host these families at the close of our Missions Festival. Not everyone can go to another country to minister to those in need, but we can all minister right here in our own back yard. There are several ways to help: provide breakfast or dinner, host one of the evening meals, or stay overnight at the church. To sign up or find out more information, please call Barbara Finch Thompson at 870-0029.
Prayer Requests:
1. Aaron Poudert, nephew of Julie Martin, has been diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of four. Please keep Aaron's family in your prayers as they deal with this and balance life with their other two children.
2. The grandmothers of both Buddy Trammell and Trey Clegg passed away. Please be in prayer for both families.
3. Bo Evans's father, Bert, is in the hospital.
4. Aaron Taylor, Roddy's one month old nephew, who has liver disease and underwent a liver transplant in Atlanta.
5. Coleman, a two year old friend of the Sealock family, has been diagnosed with Leukemia.
Social:
Many thanks to Ginny Johnston for opening up her home on Monday for our Ladies' Luncheon. It was so much fun. Thanks again, Ginny and our social coordinators, Bethany and Kelly, for putting that together.
That's about it! We hope many of you were able to attend the Missions Week Kick-off breakfast this morning. Two of the little Murrays picked out tomorrow's class breakfast today at Publix - donut holes for all! See you in the morning.
