Wed Worship Service this Wednesday will be at 6:30 p.m. Rev. Danny Giffen will be teaching on the Sixth Commandment from Exodus 20:13. Fellowship Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. If you are planning on attending, meet up with other Foundations families on the patio for dinner at 5:30.
Parenting 101:
Dr. Gordon Bals is hosting a parenting seminar continuing Sunday, Oct. 9th in the Fellowship Hall from 5-7 p.m. Childcare is provided for 5 and under and dinner for $5/each. The focus will be gospel based parenting primarily focusing on parents with younger children.
Wed. Night Activities Coming to Wednesday Worship on October 26:
Scott Roley, Pastor of Community Life at Christ Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee, will bring the Wednesday Worship message on October 26 at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Rev. Roley is a gifted pastor, musician, writer and teacher who feels a personal call to racial reconciliation and community renewal.
Home Missions Weekend – November 19 and 20:
Saturday, November 19th we will again come alongside Christian Service Mission and deliver Thanksgiving Baskets of Kindness to those our local missionaries minister to as well as tornado victims. Saturday night we will have a church wide dinner honoring our home missionaries. Sunday morning John Croyle with the Big Oak Ranch will be our Guest Speaker and we will have our home missionaries sharing in the Sunday School Classes. Covenant members will then host our missionaries for Sunday lunch. Please contact Phyllis Hamm at phamm@covpres.com or 871-7002, ext. 130 for questions or more information. Prayer requests for the week of October 2:
Elliot Williams: Elliot was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had surgery on Tuesday morning (we have heard that everything went well) and will be starting chemo soon. Sarah Squires' mother: Sarah Squires' mother. Mary Stegall, has been diagnosed with cancer. Please pray for healing of Sarah's mother and the strength of their family.
Mary Graham Sheppard :Mary Graham Sheppard has undergone a casting procedure to heal her scoliosis. Please pray for Mary Graham to endure the casting, for healing and for Lee and Jennifer.
Sherri Oberding: Sherri was placed on bed rest for final weeks of her pregnancy. Please pray that the baby will continue to develop for a few more weeks and for Sherri's continued comfort.
