Wed. Night Activities
Wed Worship Service this Wednesday will be at 6:30 p.m. Rev. T. J. Wolters will be teaching on the Seventh Commandment from Exodus 20:14. Fellowship Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Interview with Dr. Hay
There will be a luncheon for Bill & Cyndie Hay at Fixed Point Foundation's Latimer House in Mountain Brook Village on Sunday October 16th immediately following the 11 o'clock service. Larry Taunton will interview Pastor Hay about his 33 years of ministry in Birmingham. Due to limited seating, reservations are required. Cost is $25. There will be table set up in the church foyer to register or you may contact Rebekah Page at (205) 960-5257 or by email at rpage@fixed-point.org.
Ladies Night Out Fundraiser
Created for a Purpose, Covenants creative arts ministry for 3rd - 8th grade girls, is expanding to reach other churches and communities. We are holding a Ladies Night Out Fundraiser Friday, October 21st and invite all the ladies to join us. There will be a registration form in the SS folder. Questions can be directed to Ingram Link at 871-7002, ext 192.
Coming to Wednesday Worship on October 26
Scott Roley, Pastor of Community Life at Christ Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee, will bring the Wednesday Worship message on October 26 at 6:30 in the Fellowship Hall. Rev. Roley is a gifted pastor, musician, writer and teacher who feels a personal call to racial reconciliation and community renewal.
Orphan and Adoption Sunday – November 6
This will be one of the most exciting events of our church year – you will not want to miss it! Join us for morning worship at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. followed by a church-wide lunch at 12:15 p.m. in Fellowship Hall ($6 per person).
Home Missions Weekend – November 19 and 20
Saturday, November 19th we will again come alongside Christian Service Mission and deliver Thanksgiving Baskets of Kindness to those our local missionaries minister to as well as tornado victims. Saturday night we will have a church wide dinner honoring our home missionaries. Sunday morning John Croyle with the Big Oak Ranch will be our Guest Speaker and we will have our home missionaries sharing in the Sunday School Classes. Sarah Squires' mother: Sarah Squires' mother, Mary Stegall, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Please pray for healing of Sarah's mother and the strength of their family.
Sherri Oberding: Sherri was placed on bed rest for final weeks of her pregnancy. Please pray for Sherri's continued comfort.
Praise! Leslie and Michael Brooks celebrated 12 years of marriage on Sunday :)
