Rusty and I are serving on behalf of Covenant to secure support for the annual fundraiser for Birmingham Hospitality Network. As you may know, Covenant is one of 16 churches in the area that provides food, overnight accommodations, love and support for the homeless families enrolled in Birmingham Hospitality Network.
BHN hosts one fundraiser each year to provide support for this ministry. The fundraiser is a large item live auction and small item silent auction. The fundraiser will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at B&A Warehouse with food, drinks and live music. By all accounts it is a wonderful evening out! I am writing to enlist your support. In order to raise support on behalf of Covenant we need to do the following:
1.) Secure Sponsorships
2.) Collect Items for auction
3.) Sell tickets for the auction
Sponsorships are cash donations which will secure tickets to the event as well as your name or the name of your company listed in the BHN Fundraiser Booklet. Sponsorship levels are Bronze ($125- 2 tickets) Silver ($250- 4 tickets) Gold ($500- 6 tickets) Platinum ($1000- 8 tickets) Double Platinum ($2000- 12 tickets)
Auction items include gift certificates of all types for restaurants, dental whitening, spas, art, sports memorabilia, wine, gift baskets, hand made children’s clothes, photography, gym memberships, website development, concert tickets, hunting trips etc.
Ticket sales and bidding on items up for auction also supports the ministry. Tickets for the auction will go on sale at the end of June at $25/ticket.
If you or anyone you know would like to purchase a sponsorship, has an item they can secure and would like to donate for auction or plan to attend the event please contact me or Rusty. All items are tax deductible and a receipt with BHN’s tax ID # is readily available for both sponsorships and donated items. Please consider how you might contribute to this worthy ministry.
Save the date and make plans to attend as we are encouraging Cornerstone, Foundations and Fuel to enjoy a night out for the homeless by attending the auction at B&A Warehouse on July 29th. Childcare will be available by reservation in the Covenant Nursery for those attending the auction. Donations for childcare will be accepted. Tickets will be available for purchase in the nursery on 7/11, 7/18 and 7/25.
