I did not make it to church yesterday because we were out of town, so I am not sure if this made the prayer request list, but Jami Bennett's brother, John Brooks, was car jacked Fri night and (long story short) escaped with his life, but has some pretty serious injuries. Please pray for John as well as Jami and Jim, plus Jami's parents as they go through this time of pain and uncertainty. Below is what Jami e mailed me this morning as well as John's caring bridge site. Thanks so much for the prayers, I know they are so appreciated!
John has back surgery this morning at 7:30. This is a very important and difficult surgery and the prayer for today is that there is no spinal cord injury and that the back bones can be put back together good as new.
