Foundations News, January 7-13

Hello Foundations! The following are a few announcements for the week:

There is a new Women's Bible Study starting tomorrow (1/9/13) lead by Ingram Link and our own Leslie Brooks called "Hope: When Life is Not Fair."  It will be a four week study that follows up on Ashley McCrary's Christmas Countdown Message of Hope. Join Leslie, Ingram and other women of our church tomorrow from 9:15 -10:15 in E 202.

The Missions Conference is coming up and there are several ways for you to be involved. Grab a flyer this Sunday out of the folder in class. Save the date for our class Missions Dessert, which will be at the Henry's house Feb. 4.

Preschool Announcement from Katie Flores:

Our preschool has a few open slots available for service. We need people who can serve during 10:45 worship. It’s great if you can commit for a month at a time. That means we need someone for Jan-May. Let Katie (kflores@covpres.com) know which month you are available. If you have to be out of town for a week during the month...no big deal. There is no preparation involved...just showing up to love on some sweet kids. Katie will be in the classroom with you the entire time. January servant needed ASAP. Thank you for considering.

Prayer Requests:

Rob Coburn - friend of Murray's and McLane's - brain tumor, starting treatment this month

Larry Harris - Bethany's uncle - has cancer but family is feeling encouraged by his acknowledgement of heaven

Hudson Steale - friend of the Crosswhite's - suffering from brain tumor

Carey Rome - recovering from abdominal surgery

Social: Many thanks to those who were able to meet for the Men's Lunch today. Save the date of January 28 for Ladies' lunch at Ginny Johnston's home.

Our study of Acts will continue this week. Thanks in advance to Jeff and Cameron Hicks for providing our breakfast. See you Sunday!
