Subject: Note from the Session of Covenant Presbyterian
Members of Covenant Presbyterian,
It is with gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ that I report to you that the matters in South Texas have concluded and Bill Boyd has been unconditionally released to Evangel Presbytery. This paves the way to install Bill as senior pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church. While neither the windings nor timing of this path are what we would have chosen or foreseen, it is the path directed by our sovereign God. Now in His same providence it is a path forward without obstruction. All glory be His. It is certain that there are windings yet in sight for us corporately and individually, but we trust that the Lord has used the preceding months to teach us deeper patience, steadfastness, and the nature of His love. This will enable us as a body to worship and minister in ways we never could have otherwise.
We will communicate soon regarding the timing of Bill's installation. Now that the matters in Texas have reached conclusion, we are freer to discuss the details of the past and the future. The Session will be calling a meeting during which the matters will be discussed and questions may be addressed.
