Dear Church Family,

As was announced from the pulpit on Sunday, the matters involving Bill Boyd are well on the way to a favorable conclusion for all concerned.  From the beginning, Bill has acknowledged the responsibility for issues that were his and stood firmly against allegations which were untrue.  We were so encouraged by the number of people who were willing to testify on his behalf to put the difficulties at All Saints in their proper perspective.  Witnesses were travelling from Chicago, Washington and St. Louis to testify on Bill's behalf.  Indeed, one witness  ministering in  Sudan  offered testimony.

This matter is still within the jurisdiction of the South Texas Presbytery until they meet in January.  All parties were requested to refrain from public comment, and we are committed to honoring that request.  While we have no control over what others may say or do, we are respectful of the South Texas Presbytery and have taken vows to submit to the government and discipline of the Church.  To this end, we will honor the request that we avoid public commentary while our brothers in Texas conclude their work.

In the meantime, should you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of your elders who will be pleased to discuss this with you in more detail.  We would ask you to continue to pray for the Boyd family, the leadership, Covenant, and All Saints in Texas, as we look forward to the resolution of these matters.

Praying for  His Peace and Grace to you during this Christmas season,

The Session
