Summer Sunday School Lesson

Hope everyone is having a great week.

See the below message from Danny outlining our Sunday School lessons this summer.

Go ahead and start thinking about which option below you will want to attend for the shuffle(I am thinking #4 may not be an option for all of us) so you will know where to go when the time comes.

Also, we are doing the book of Hebrews for our Foundations study for the 2nd half of the summer(July 11th to Sept 5th).

Hello SS leaders, I know this is a tad early, but want you to get your classes ready for the summer. 

 

In June we will have our Sunday School Shuffle for all 4 Sundays in June.  Our lineup consists of the following:

 

            Class #1 – Larry Taunton & Bill Wortman – “Hope Amidst Uncertainty”

            Class #2 – Dr. Mark Gignilliat & TJ Wolters – Book of the Bible (TBD)

            Class #3 – Dr. Langston Haygood – Lessons on Marriage

            Class #4 – Women’s Ministry class taught by women in our church.

 

July 4^th this year falls on a Sunday, so we will have no Sunday School classes and just one service at 10 a.m. followed by a huge cookout on property (just like the old days I hear). 

 

The remainder of July through September 5, we are encouraging classes to again develop teachers from within their own classes.  The Elder and SS coordinators will be responsible for scheduling their teachers.  Consider making room for a couple to share a testimony during that time as well from either a mission trip, adoption, what God is doing in their family, etc.

 

Several classes I will aid in securing teachers like the Good News Class..

 

Our preaching series this summer will work through the lives of Elijah & Elisha (I & II Kings).  We look forward to proclaiming the truths of God’s Word to His people at Covenant.
