Hey everyone. For those of you who were not able to attend Spring Fling, the fabulous speaker, Brenda Lovelady Spahn, spoke and blew many of us away with her candid testimony and the amazing ways God has worked and is working in her life. Mrs. Spahn currently owns and runs the Lovelady center which is located in Birmingham's old East End hospital building. The Lovelady Center is a 6 to 12 month transitional program serving over 330 women and children. They have a great website at http://lovelady.homestead.com that gives a good overview of what they are all about.
We have been invited to attend the luncheon at the Lovelady Center on May 21st from 11:30 to 12:30 hosted by the women living at the center. I have never been to one of these luncheons, but have heard that they are incredibly moving. If you would like to attend, please let me know.
