* MSSIONS SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:
(1) Our missionaries, John and Liz Steketee, with MTW in West Africa, will be in town
Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th. They will be sharing in a Sunday
School Class on Sunday. We need a host family to house them Saturday night. Please
contact Phyllis at phamm@covpres.com or 871-7002, ext. 130 if you would like to help
with this need. Thanks so much!
(2) Our missionary Katy Hare, with New Tribes Missions, will be going to Brazil in
January 2009 and we would like to help her take some items that will minister to the
children and women there. Please see attached flyer for items she requests (New items
only please!) – A list will be posted in each class.
* SOJOURNERS Fall Trip
“Sojourners” is an outreach, mission-focused ministry for the “baby-boomer” generation,
with opportunities for home missions and “fun escapades” – and one escapade is coming
up – hike and dinner theatre near Chattanooga! Reservation deadline is soon, October 1.

* “WNC” – Wednesday Night Connection – has started but not too late for YOU to start.
Join us Wednesdays with Family Supper at 5:30 and Classes at 6:30; plus Adult Choir
and Pioneer Clubs for kids. PLEASE NOTE: Larry Taunton’s class will not meet on
Wednesdays September 24 BUT will meet on THURSDAY evenings SEPTEMBER 25.
