My Mom and stepdad are back at home in Huntsville now after spending 3 days at UAB. The news from all the tests was much better than we expected. He does not appear to have any new blockages in his heart. The symptoms are most likely due to the congestive heart failure that he has had for years. The doctors have changed his medications and prescribed EECP therapy which is supposed to help grow new blood vessels to the heart...who knew you could do that?! They feel that this will help Sam tremendously and that within the next 3-5 years there will medical advances that will be able to improve his heart damage. So, this is all good news.
